Position: eBook Portuguese Language Specialist

Responsibilities:

Ensure quality and timely delivery of e-book editing, quality check and other work that is assigned and Commitment to meet Deadlines

Get trained on processes quickly and ramp up and deliver successfully on the assigned editing or QA work

Understand the existing guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures and follow them without deviation and should have the ability to revise Standard Operating Procedures

Work on special testing projects on an as needed basis

Be meticulous and accurate on uploading work and entering data pertaining to the work using web interfaces

Use software tools for editing QA, workflow and data capture on a daily basis

Be comfortable with capturing results, communicating and escalating failures and providing status reports

Interacting/coordinating with development team, performing testing, identifying and reporting bugs/complaints, performing data analysis and reporting error trends etc

Requirements:

Strong Portuguese written communication skills; verbal communication skills are preferred but not required

A graduate in any field of study. Quantitative fields such as science and engineering preferred but not required

Strong inter personal & communication skills

Good familiarity with the Windows desktop environment and use of Word, Excel, IE, Firefox etc. are required

Interest in working with online content is required

Passion for delivering great customer experience and a keen eye for Detail is required

Familiarity with reading online content such as e-Books, e-newspapers, websites and blogs desired

High level of energy and proactive nature. A sense of ownership and drive and a willingness to accept the challenge of daily deadlines is essential

Able to multi task in a fast paced environment

Please note that job doesnt involve translation but actually involves editing content of books.
